Mike Hillier is a freelance sound engineer and music technology journalist, based in London, UK. His magazine work includes various positions at Music Tech Magazine since 2004, including News and Reviews Editor. As an engineer, Mike works primarily out of Metropolis Studios, London, where he has worked with artists as diverse as Eminem, Rihanna and Scott Walker.

Working with Music Tech Magazine keeps Mike at the cutting edge of music technology, enabling him to bring some of the newest hardware and software to bare on projects.  Similarly, working out of the world-class Metropolis Studios enables Mike access to a huge range of equipment and expertise, from tracking right through to mastering.
